My Process
I create a beautiful animal portrait from an electronically sent photo you provide me. In my processes of animal portraits and free-form work, I use the highest quality of materials available consisting mainly of charcoal, colored pencils, soft pastels and acid-free paper. Working with my valued customers, they describe the angles and portions of the photo that they would like as the focal points in the final drawing. As you can see within my gallery many of the portraits are focused on the pet’s personality which is most often seen in their face. Many pet owners agree that the most important aspect of bringing out their pet’s personality is to focus on their eyes; the window to their soul. I couldn’t agree more. I offer you a choice of paper color and texture along with suggestions on what I think the best paper option is in order to bring out the best quality. However, most customers choose to leave the technicalities to me as it is my ultimate goal to bring your pet to life through artwork which I find very gratifying. I will provide you updates along the way as well as a photo snapshot of the final piece for approval. Thank you for the opportunity and trust in drawing your beloved pets.
To have a portrait commissioned a 50% deposit is required to hold your place. It is to ensure I work in the order the commissioned pieces come in. It is approximately a 2 to 3 week process for a commissioned piece, and if you choose to backout of the agreement and not to move forward with the piece, the deposit is not refundable for any reason. With full respect to all, I sell my artwork and not the rights to it.
